The film follows one man, as he makes his way to The P.H.E. Cathedral, undergoes the process of physical transcendence, and finds himself within a realm of his digitised consciousness, where he exists entirely removed from our physical reality. Or does he?
The Post-human Experiment is an initiative founded to pioneer a revolutionary new technological and existential breakthrough. Anybody may apply, and those subsequently selected are invited to attend a P.H.E. Cathedral (of which, in this early stage, there exists only one) and undergo the process of digitisation. The cathedral itself acts as a monument - for although transcendence and singularity philosophies profess a refutation of religious ideas to do with unquestionably accepting our existence and worshiping a divine entity who has ultimate control over our lives - post- and trans-humanist philosophies are almost creating new religions in themselves, where the technology becomes the source of worship, the means and the end.
