As a rookie in 2021-22, Ball earned First-Team All-Rookie honors after averaging 15.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.6 steals in 75 games. Ball also set the franchise record for most points in a rookie debut with 20 points against the Charlotte Hornets.

Ball was a standout player at Chino Hills High School, where he led his team to a 35-0 record and a state championship in 2016. He was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year in 2017. Ball played one season of college basketball at UCLA before declaring for the NBA draft.

In his professional career, Ball has established himself as one of the most exciting young players in the NBA. He is known for his exceptional passing, athleticism, and ability to score from all three levels. He is also a tenacious defender, often guarding the opposing team's best player.
